Clarifications to two questions referred to in the video:
Can you enter streaming commercials in the Television classification?
The short answer is yes. We are revising the categories sheet to reflect that. Here's the wording, and we'll send the official update out later this week (subscribe to the BAF newsletter to catch that). This affects categories 1–8. There's no update to the "internet commercials" category.
Local TV (One DMA)
TV commercial of any length (:15, :30 or :60) that is broadcast in no more than one local market (DMA) or via national broadcast, cable, streaming services, or satellite networks.
Regional/National TV (Two or more DMAs)
TV commercial of any length (:15, :30 or :60) that is broadcast in two or more local markets (DMAs) or via national broadcast, cable, streaming services, or satellite networks.Can you enter Citations of Excellence in the district competition, or just silver & gold winners?
Yes, citations can be entered directly into the Northwest Advertising Awards. There is a requirement that the piece go through a local show before being forwarded to the NW ADDYS. Citations are acceptable for forwarding.
